Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, also known as a nose job, is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgeries worldwide. It involves reshaping the nose to improve its appearance and/or functionality. Patients often seek rhinoplasty for aesthetic reasons — such as reducing a hump, refining the tip, or narrowing the nostrils — or to correct breathing issues caused by structural abnormalities.

There are two main approaches:
• Open rhinoplasty: Involves a small incision on the columella (the tissue between the nostrils), allowing the surgeon full access to the nasal structures.
• Closed rhinoplasty: All incisions are made inside the nose, resulting in no visible scarring, typically used for less complex adjustments.

Recovery usually involves bruising and swelling around the eyes and nose, with most patients resuming normal activities within 1–2 weeks. Final results may take up to a year to fully settle as the nasal tissues refine.
