Dr. Serhat Azizlerli, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Medicine with extensive expertise in nephrology and transplantation. He has held academic appointments, including serving as an Associate Professor at Allentown College of Saint Francis de Sales.
Throughout his career, Dr. Azizlerli has taken on key roles in inpatient and outpatient nephrology care, including serving as Director of Inpatient Hemodialysis Services at Hudson Valley Hospital Center and Clinical Director for Outpatient Nephrology Clinics in New York. He has also worked as an attending nephrologist at multiple hospitals and dialysis centers across Pennsylvania and New York.
Dr. Azizlerli completed his medical training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine before pursuing internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowships at Carney Hospital and New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology. His research has contributed to the understanding of immunosuppressive cytokines and transplant rejection mechanisms, with several publications in the field.
He is an active member of professional societies, including the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Transplantation.
